The BREEAM GreenBook API
The BREEAM API allows you to explore and integrate BREEAM rating data on thousands of certified building assessments across 50 countries directly with your own tools, websites or software.
We are opening our RESTful API web service to allow you to search and access up-to-date BREEAM GreenBook listing information in a machine-readable format and explore BREEAM ratings data from around the globe.
The data available through the BREEAM API allows user to access information on certified assessments.
Please note: the data available through the API only includes certified assessments of projects or assets under the BREEAM, HQM and CEEQUAL schemes, and does not contain data on certified assessments of projects against the Code for Sustainable Homes or BREEAM Ecohomes schemes. Furthermore, this service only contains data on assessments which were certified against the BREEAM 2008 scheme onwards. Projects or assets with certified assessments to schemes released prior to this are not included.

BREEAM In-Use API (Coming soon)
BREEAM is looking to increase its connectivity to the industry by allowing users to submit assessment data through new efficient methods, while also enabling the ability to explore BREEAM rating data easier than ever before.
Within the various Parts of a BREEAM In-Use assessment an asset is assessed against its energy use, water use and waste generation. We know that many of our customers use third-party platforms to collect this data for their assets throughout the year, and we are investigating the possibility for our customers to push this data to BREEAM, removing the need for manual data entry. This will not only help to increase efficiency, but will also reduce human error which saves time through the assessment process.
If you are a BREEAM In-Use customer that is interested about an API connection to your data platform provider, or alternatively a data platform provider who is interested in connecting to BREEAM In-Use, please contact us via [email protected]
Any future API which is created would need to meet the data requirements for BREEAM In-Use International 2015 scheme or the BREEAM USA In-Use 2016 scheme. These data requirements have been outlined on this page.
Please be aware that through time the data requirements for our schemes change. BREEAM will not be liable to you for any (including indirect and consequential) loss or damage, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, even if foreseeable, arising under or in connection with use of, or inability to use, any BREEAM API or use of or reliance on any content from our BREEAM APIs.
